The International Students' Committee-Symposium, held annually at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, is the world’s leading neutral platform for critical and constructive debate on issues of global concern. It seeks to promote dialogue crossing the boundaries of cultures, generations and interest groups.
35th ISC-Symposium, May 19-21, 2005, St. Gallen
General Topic of the 35th ISC-Symposium was “Liberty, Trust and Responsibility”.
It was held at the University of St. Gallen for Business Administration, Economics, Law and Social Sciences (HSG) and the Region of St. Gallen.

The ISC-Symposium is entirely organised by the International Students’ Committee (ISC) which is a non-profit organisation comprising an annually changing team of approximately 25 students from the University of St. Gallen and Harvard University. The ISC was founded during Europe’s students’ unrests in 1969 with the goal of creating open dialogue between the leaders of today and the students who will be the leaders of tomorrow. In accordance with its statutes, the ISC advocates the maintenance and continued development of a liberal economic and social order. It does so with an international focus by addressing issues of global concern.
The ISC encourages constructive analysis of new developments in the business world and incites the corporate world to define its interaction with changing environments. The relevance of the topics, the excellence of the speakers, the composition of the participants and the dedication of the ISC-Team guarantee quality and diversity and create a unique ambiance. The special spirit of the ISC-Symposium in St. Gallen, which differentiates it from other international conferences, is achieved by the vivacity and openness in the formulation of ideas and opinions during the Symposium. The participants’ willingness to analyse and reflect on innovative ideas, to discuss and impartially listen leads to a stimulating atmosphere of serious debate.

This "morelike vacation trip" seminar was held on February 22 - March 1, 2005.
SO REMARKABLE !!!! :
This seminar was held by JICA Sapporo together with Sapporo Tourism Board. The theme of this seminar was "Sapporo Tourism Promotion". We visited three major cities in Hokkaido Island: Sapporo, Otaru and Niseko. We attended seminars & discussions with the management of tourism board, souvenir shops, hotel, ski resort, winter games museum, beer museum, chocolate factory, ice cream factory, snow mobile land and so on. On the last days of our program, we joined homestay program with each of our own host family.
The program was magnificent. I come back to Tokyo with all the wonderful memories I will treasure them for the rest of my life.
